Clinical Rotation

WTRC welcomes and encourages students to complete their clinical rotations at our San Angelo, Abilene or Ozona facilities. The student experience is unique here because of the abundance of opportunities provided by the fact that multiple disciplines and areas of expertise are all “under one roof.” We are proud to offer free housing on a first-come, first-served basis.

Scholarship Programs

We offer a scholarship program for students who desire to work for WTRC upon graduation. This scholarship includes a monthly stipend that can be used on personal or school expenses and an early commitment bonus. Fill out the contact form for more information.

We welcome and encourage graduate students from all over the country to fulfill their clinical rotations and/or residency requirements with us! Students have the opportunity to be a part of the clinical teams and work with a variety of professions in the adult and/or pediatric settings including physical, occupational, and speech therapy, orthotics and prosthetics, and audiology. A huge benefit provided to students is free housing.

Abilene Student Housing

Our Abilene student housing is directly across the street from the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, making it incredibly convenient for students completing clinical rotations, internships, or therapy residencies. Located just off Highway 84, the property offers quick access to restaurants like Texas Roadhouse and Abuelo’s all within a one-mile radius. Plus, the Mall of Abilene is only 1.6 miles away—perfect for shopping, dining, and entertainment between classes or clinicals. This prime location combines comfort, accessibility, and the opportunity to stay connected to both your education and everything Abilene has to offer.

San Angelo Student Housing

Our San Angelo student housing offers unbeatable convenience—located just steps away from the West Texas Rehabilitation Center and only 0.6 miles from Angelo State University. This close proximity allows students to easily commute between classes, clinical rotations, and the Rehab Center, saving valuable time every day. Situated near S. Jackson Street and Knickebocker Road, students have quick access to local favorites like Raising Cane’s, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, and Subway, all within a one-mile radius. The area’s mix of restaurants, shopping, and campus amenities makes it a perfect hub for learning, living, and enjoying life in San Angelo.
