Occupational Therapy
Our pediatric occupational therapists work with clients from 0-21 years of age to help them learn and grow in areas of play, activities of daily living, sensory integration, fine motor skills, and regulation. Through collaboration between the therapist and the family, this allows our patients to reach their highest potential and participate in their daily activities and routines.

Physical Therapy
Physical therapist are ‘movement specialists’ and as therapist specializing in pediatrics, we look at movement from birth through adulthood. We work with infants who are not quite meeting their milestones such as rolling, sitting, crawling or walking. We work with children who are having trouble with balance and coordination, strength, pain or difficulty keeping up with their peers.

Speech Language Pathology
The Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology team builds relationships with families and patients in order to assess and treat a variety of diagnoses, syndromes, and disorders.

FAQs
How do I get a referral to West Texas Rehabilitation Center?
You will need to speak with your primary care provider for a referral to WTRC. Self referral is appropriate on a limited basis for physical therapy and speech therapy.
Will I have any admissions paperwork to complete?
Go to the For Patients page on our website to view all forms and documents that are required to complete for an initial evaluation.
Where should I send my referral?
Bring your referral in person, have your physician send it to us, or email or fax to your nearest location.

What are the general hours?
General hours are Monday - Friday 8-5. Some early and late appointments can be accommodated.
Do you accept all insurance providers?
We accept all forms of insurance including private, Medicare and Medicaid.
What should I expect on my first visit?
Report to the admissions department to complete all required paperwork and then a licensed therapist will review your medical history. The therapist will then evaluate your case by assessing mobility, strength, and function to develop a personalized plan for your therapy needs.
What should I do if I don't have insurance?
Upon admissions you can inquire about applying for our Donor Sponsorship program.
What ages do you treat?
We typically treat from birth to the age of 18, then they will transition to adult services.
I have concerns about my child's eating, what should I do?
Talk to your pediatrician and request a feeding referral.
I have concerns about my child's development, what should I do?
Talk to your pediatrician about a referral.
What should I wear?
Please wear athletic attire and tennis shoes.
My child is coming for a feeding evaluation. What should I bring?
For children who have started baby food/table food introductions, please bring three preferred and three non-preferred foods as well as your child's cups/bottles that they typically use. For infant feeding evaluations, you will need to be prepared for your child to nurse/bottle feed during the session. Please bring any bottles you are currently trialing with your baby.
