Join us for the Bill & Susie Black Memorial Team Roping on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Crockett County Arena, located at 1301 Avenue AA in Ozona, Texas! Books will open at 9:00 a.m., and roping will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a 70% payout in all roping’s.
The event will feature a #12.5 Slide, #11.5 Handicap, and #9.5 roping. The #12.5 Slide is a four-header progressive after one with the option to enter one and draw one or enter open and draw two for $200 per man. Add-ons and buybacks are $100 per man, with one second up and down. The #11.5 Handicap is also a four-header progressive after one with the same entry options and fees. Add-ons and buybacks are $100 per man, with one second down and a three-second cap. The #9.5 is a three-header progressive after one with the same entry options and fees, a 5.5 heeler cap, and an 8.5 incentive on two head.
The High Money Roper of the Day will receive a Lazy L Saddle, and average winners in each roping will receive custom buckles.
In addition to the competition, attendees can enjoy a silent auction featuring gun boards, hunting rack boards, brisket plates, and more, with proceeds benefiting West Texas Rehabilitation Center and the life-changing services they provide throughout the region.
Producers reserve the right to reclassify participants. Cash and credit cards will be accepted, with a processing fee applying to credit card purchases.
