Occupational Therapy
The goal of occupational therapy is to enable patients to fully participate in everyday life activities despite an illness, injury, cognitive impairment, developmental or learning disability. Developing, improving, or restoring daily living skills such as self-dressing, self-feeding, and independently accomplishing personal hygiene; interacting with others; or becoming work-ready are among functional outcomes sought for patients through purposeful activity or interventions.

Physical Therapy
Physical therapy manages movement dysfunctions and enhances physical and functional abilities. We restore, maintain, and promote not only optimal physical function but optimal wellness and fitness and optimal quality of life as it relates to movement and health. The goal is to prevent the onset, symptoms and progression of impairments, functional limitations and disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders, conditions, and injuries.
Areas we treat:- Neurologic injuries (CVA, multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons, head injury, spinal cord injury)
- Spine pain (neck and back)
- Post-operative conditions (total joint replacements, tendon and ligament repairs, fixation of fractures)
- Pelvic Health/Women's health (incontinence, pelvic pain, back pain during pregnancy, delivery positions)
- Lymphedema
- Vestibular disorders (dizziness, vertigo)
- Chronic conditions (migraines, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, temporomandibular joint dysfunction)

Through speech-language pathology we serve patients with a wide variety of communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

How do I get a referral to West Texas Rehabilitation Center?
You will need to speak with your primary care provider for a referral. Self referral is appropriate on a limited basis for physical therapy and speech language pathology.

What are the general hours?
General hours are Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM. Some early and late appointments can be accommodated.
Do you accept all insurance providers?
We accept all forms of insurance including private, Medicare and Medicaid.
What should I expect on my first visit?
Report to the admissions department to complete all required paperwork and then a licensed therapist will review your medical history and then will evaluate your injury by assessing mobility, strength, and function to develop a personalized plan for your therapy needs.
What should I do if I don't have insurance?
Upon admissions you can inquire about applying for our Donor Sponsorship program.
What should I wear?
Please wear athletic attire and tennis shoes.
