SUMMARY:Abilene Junior Anglers
DESCRIPTION:This event is designed to provide children with special needs the opportunity to enjoy a quality outdoor recreational experience through the sport of fishing. Join us for an unforgettable morning of fishing\, boating\, and celebrating amazing children! The boats will be loading at 8:45 a.m. and launching between 8:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. There will be many opportunities for photos and video throughout the morning and an awards ceremony from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\, followed by lunch. \nPre-registration is required. Space is limited. Contact Katie Davis or Betsy Ambrose at boatersforjunioranglers@wtrc.com with any questions. Please note only one parent/guardian is guaranteed a boat ride. Anyone in the family is welcome to fish from the shore. Once registered\, event details will be sent to you via email and text within two weeks prior to the event day. \nUpon arrival\, please check in at the event registration table. You and your child will be paired with a Volunteer Boater for approximately 2-3 hours of fishing. The fishing is followed by lunch for everyone and an awards ceremony for the children.
