Adult Therapy

Physical Therapy is an evidence-based treatment approach used to address disorders related to nerves, muscles, and joints in the body. Many of our therapists have attained doctoral degrees in physical therapy and strive for professional excellence by pursuing a variety of advanced clinical certifications to promote a higher level of care. At West Texas Rehab, our therapists are dedicated to personalized service and develop individualized treatment plans for every patient. These therapeutic exercise plans are created specifically for the patient based on their own needs. The physical therapist guides the patient through these exercises during therapy sessions and also instructs them in a home exercise program to support the services provided in the clinic. Performing these exercises consistently is a key component of the recovery process in order to strengthen muscles and improve the issues which are contributing to the pain or problem the patient is experiencing. Every patient is unique and therefore, our physical therapists customize the physical therapy experience for each person in order to meet their specific functional goals and to ultimately return them to normal activities.

Why Choose Us?

Rehab therapists have the training and advanced certifications to properly evaluate and implement hands-on therapeutic programs geared to get the patient as mobile and as pain-free as possible so they can return to desired activities as quickly as possible. WTRC is known for its personal care with patients, who are seen one on one by a therapist. Additionally, the department has state-of-the-art equipment and facilities to provide the high quality of care for its patients. The patient’s health and well-being is the number one priority.

How can we help?

An evaluation is performed on the first visit. The therapist will gather information regarding the condition treated. He or she will perform tests and measurements (range of motion, muscle strength, flexibility, posture, balance, gait, and others) to determine the deficit. Given this information, the therapist will develop an individual program to speed the recovery and return to the highest level of function possible.
