AMERICA Brings down the house at San Angelo Dinner Show
Fun, Fellowship, a delicious gourmet dinner featuring Filet Mignon, and the hit songs from AMERICA were all on the menu for the 21st Annual Rehab Dinner Show in San Angelo on October 17th. The McNease Convention Center was filled with mouths watering for the dinner and the top hit band from the 70s, and both delivered in a big way.
After enjoying a rousing cocktail hour and dinner, the original lead singers and drummer, along with long-time guitarist and bass guitarist hit the stage and immediately wowed the audience with two of their top hits – Tin Man and Sister Golden Hair. Not long after came Ventura Highway and other well-known signature songs plus some popular cover tunes from other artists over the years. As expected, their first hit song, Horse With No Name served as the encore with much approval from the excited and boisterous audience. The guys cracked jokes and delivered banter with the audience throughout the 75 minute performance. “We keep getting asked when we’re going to name that horse!” chuckled Gerry Beckley, one of the founding members and lead singers.
Thanks to our underwriters, table buyers, in-kind donors, and staff, Rehab reaped the benefits of a successful dinner show once again. Now it’s time to decide who will appear on the Dinner Show next year!
