Rehab Holds Largest Ever Clay Shoot in Abilene

 

The 11th annual FTS International/Blake Fulenwider Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep REHAB “TOP GUN” Sporting Clays Classic was the largest clay shoot fundraiser ever held at Abilene Clay Sports.   Some 466 shotgunners from all over the state of Texas competed during the two day event. 

 

The event raised just over $151,000 for the West Texas Rehabilitation Center.

 

A perfect score of 100 out of 100 clays was also registered for the first time ever in the REHAB event  by Jeff Phillips of Abilene.   Jeff won the North Course Saturday while David Bishop scored a 98 Saturday for the high score on the South course.  Doug Kreitler won Friday’s round with a 96.  Phillips, Bishop and Kreitler all won Winchester shotguns.

 

Bob Cox won the raffle Winchester 101 shotgun while the following people won shotguns in drawings:  James Berry, Gregg Collett, Eloy Rodriquez, Patty Dunn, David Mayes, Michael Michaelis, Jeff Dressen, John Harvey, Button West, Joe Roberson, John Calandro, Jesus Peter Lozano, Leif Tushinsky, Teddy Jordan, Andrew Hope, Ray Don Box, Jordan King, Byron Davis, Clayton Bolt, Leroy Bolt, Jessica Fryer, Vance Long, Susan Shortes, Tara Petross, Clifford Williams, Adam Thompson, Brad Haile, Steve Gibson and Mark Maxwell.  

 

Naming sponsors of the event were FTS International and Blake Fulenwider Dodge Chrysler Jeep, the Presenting sponsor this year was Smith Pipe of Abilene.   Corporate sponsors were Rockwater Energy Solutions, LoneStar Land Services and Rentech Boiler Services.  Course sponsors were  Red Diamond/Byrd Oilfield, RHS Construction/Hagler and Walmart/Southwest Drive. Dinner sponsors were Cowboy Pump and Supply and McCarty Equipment.  T-shirt sponsors were Chad Dodson Roofing, Abilene Area Wide Phone Book and The Monogrammer.

 

The 12th annual event is scheduled April 4-5, 2014.
