Graston Technique

This weekend at the Kim Hale Memorial Conference at West Texas Rehabilitation Center, therapists were trained in a patented technique to assist in soft tissue mobilization, called the Graston Technique.

The Graston Technique is an evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that allows therapists to address scar tissue and fascial restrictions.  The technique uses specially-designed stainless steel instruments and therapeutic exercise to detect and treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

“West Texas Rehab is excited to have our therapists trained in this technique, offering another way to help our patients in our Abilene, San Angelo, and Ozona facilities,” said Steve Martin, President and CEO.

West Texas Rehabilitation Center provides outpatient services to 500 patients a day, and has trained its therapists in numerous specialized treatment services to be able to offer exceptional care to every patient who walks through the door.
