Capital Farm Credit Supports WTRC Top Gun Classic

The West Texas Rehab Center (WTRC) proudly announces that Capital Farm Credit has agreed to be the naming sponsor of the 14th Annual Rehab Top Gun Sporting Clays Classic, which takes place April 1 and 2 at Abilene Clay Sports.

Announcing the new sponsorship agreement, WTRC president Steve Martin commented that he was delighted Capital Farm Credit had agreed to team up with WTRC in support of the largest fundraising clay shoot in the Abilene area.

“This is a significant partnership that reflects the continued growth, and ultimately, the continued success of one of the better known sporting clay events in the region.  In celebrating the shoot’s 14th year, we are now finalizing details and preparing a program that offers fun for clay shooters from novice to expert,” said Steve Martin.  “More importantly, the proceeds raised will go directly to care for WTRC patients, regardless of their personal financial circumstance.”

This year’s event will begin Friday, April 1, with two rotations, beginning at 1:00 pm and the second at 3:00 pm.  Saturday’s shoot opens with 4 rotations beginning at 8:30 am, 10:30 am, 1:00 pm, and a closing round at 3:00 pm.  Saturday’s lunch will be provided onsite to shooters by the Hilton Garden Inn.  All shooters are then invited to attend the Saturday awards ceremony at the Display Building of the Taylor County Expo Center. The ceremony will include a live and silent auction, prizes and a steak dinner prepared by WTRC’s Chuck Wagon Team.  All participants will be eligible for cash and prize drawings.

Dan Byerly, Capital Farm Credit’s VP Branch Manager in Stamford said that his business is excited to be partnering with WTRC given its importance to the community and patients throughout the Big Country.
“We at Capital Farm Credit couldn’t have thought of a better way to underscore our support for WTRC than by sponsoring this great event,” said Mr. Byerly. “From the clay shoot’s small beginnings in 2003, WTRC can now rightfully claim to be one of the region’s largest competitive clay sports events, and we are proud to partner with WTRC to ensure the continued success of this event.   More importantly, we are happy to be a part of the WTRC family and to support its mission of providing quality care to everyone in need.”
